National Cancer Data Framework
MHC was engaged by Cancer Australia who were working in partnership with Cancer Council Australia and the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare to support the development a National Cancer Data Framework.
What MHC Did
- Consulted with stakeholders
- Delivered a consultation report
- Facilitated intergovernmental roundtables
- Contributed to the design of the data framework and high-level implementation roadmap.
Outcome
This initial work support Cancer Australia to develop the Data Framework. The data framework aims to ensure Australia has a mature cancer data ecosystem that supports reporting and benchmarking of key cancer control performance indicators, embeds Indigenous Data Sovereignty, underpins data-driven improvements to patient care and supports world-class research.

MHC was engaged by Kidney Health Australia to facilitate the national summit of 140 delegates from the community, clinical, policy, consumer and research sectors. All worked collaboratively to develop solutions to improve the early detection, diagnosis, and management of CKD.

MHC reviewed the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Dementia, Ageing and Aged Care Mission’s progress in: a) supporting dementia, ageing and aged care research in Australia; and b) meeting the objectives set out in the:
- Dementia, Ageing and Aged Care Mission Roadmap and Implementation Plan
- MRFF 10-year Investment Plan
- MRFF Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Strategy.


MHC was engaged by Transport for NSW to develop an independent insights report from the NSW Motorcycle Safety Roundtable 2025. The event brought together government agencies, parliamentarians, road safety academics, motorcycle peak bodies and rider trainers to provide valuable insights on motorcycle safety following a concerning rise in motorcycle fatalities in NSW.
