Chief Executive Roundtable: Violence and Aggression Prevention
MHC was engaged by Northern Sydney Local Health District to design and facilitate a Chief Executive Roundtable focused on strengthening the prevention of and response to violence and aggression across the District. The Roundtable brought together 79 senior clinicians, health service managers, District leaders and invited stakeholders to identify key challenges, learn from leading practice and develop practical priorities for improvement.
What MHC Did
- Designed and planned an outcome-focused Roundtable
- Facilitated discussions to identify key challenges and develop and prioritise practical actions
- Prepared a summary report synthesising Roundtable outcomes
Outcome
The Roundtable resulted in a commitment by the NSLHD Board Chair and Chief Executive to establish a dedicated district-wide Violence and Aggression Taskforce reporting to the NSLHD Board. The final report identified priority opportunities across prevention, early intervention, workforce capability, post-incident support, risk management and organisational learning for executive consideration.
MHC worked closely with us to deliver a highly engaging and outcome-focused Roundtable, bringing together diverse perspectives and helping translate a complex issue into clear priorities for action.
