National Cancer Data Framework

MHC was engaged by Cancer Australia who were working in partnership with Cancer Council Australia and the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare to support the development a National Cancer Data Framework.

What MHC Did

  • Consulted with stakeholders
  • Delivered a consultation report
  • Facilitated intergovernmental roundtables
  • Contributed to the design of the data framework and high-level implementation roadmap.

Outcome

This initial work support Cancer Australia to develop the Data Framework. The data framework aims to ensure Australia has a mature cancer data ecosystem that supports reporting and benchmarking of key cancer control performance indicators, embeds Indigenous Data Sovereignty, underpins data-driven improvements to patient care and supports world-class research.

This Research Strategy was developed by NSLHD with the support of MH Consulting Group (MHC) The consultation process involved extensive input from over 350 stakeholders including NSLHD executives, clinicians, researchers, consumers and university partners.

MHC was engaged by Kidney Health Australia to facilitate the national summit of 140 delegates from the community, clinical, policy, consumer and research sectors. All worked collaboratively to develop solutions to improve the early detection, diagnosis, and management of CKD.
