The design of an internal directory for the Office for Health and Medical Research within NSW Health.

Outcome

A new design and step-by-step implementation plan for a directory to provide a structured and up-to-date snapshot of information about health and medical research strengths and capabilities in NSW. The directory will provide an internal foundation for the Office to build research capability in NSW and to promote the health research across the NSW Health system.

This Research Strategy was developed by NSLHD with the support of MH Consulting Group (MHC) The consultation process involved extensive input from over 350 stakeholders including NSLHD executives, clinicians, researchers, consumers and university partners.

MHC was engaged by Cancer Australia who were working in partnership with Cancer Council Australia and the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare to support the development a National Cancer Data Framework.

MHC reviewed the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Dementia, Ageing and Aged Care Mission’s progress in: a) supporting dementia, ageing and aged care research in Australia; and b) meeting the objectives set out in the:
